A lifelong resident of Sweetwater County Cody graduated from Rock Springs High school, later gaining an associate degree at Western Wyoming Community College and then received his bachelor's degree at the University of Wyoming in political science. While attending the University, Cody would meet his now loving wife Marie. Upon graduation Cody would return home to Sweetwater County and join his family's construction business. A third-generation builder and businessman Cody would gain a unique understanding the county's economic innerworkings and future outlook. Cody's wife Marie finished her degree in criminal justice at the University and relocated to Sweetwater County becoming a Sheriff's Deputy. The Wylie's have recently started a family and plan on a bright future within our local community.
Each passing year Cody has noticed Wyoming's economy changing and being less able to count on the revenues from our natural recourses to fuel our way of life. To keep our taxes low while being good stewards of our existing industries, we need to diversify our economy. Attract manufacturing, kindle the crypto movement, keep pushing for tech jobs here in Wyoming! Grow revenue and stop cutting services. Cody believes that our community is worth fighting for and has a bright future; help him in November so he can help Sweetwater County! Vote Wylie!
Cody Has now had the honor of serving house district 39 for a first term. During his time in office Cody has advocated strongly for our open spaces, keeping our energy rates low, supporting the state and local mining industry, cutting red tape and lowering Workers Comp Premiums, supporting EMS districts, supporting Oil and Gas, advocating for parental rights, protection of minors, women's rights, infostructure projects included the new Rock Springs High School, protecting landowners' rights, and working towards property influential property tax reform not just relief.
Cody has served on the Rock Springs Planning and Zoning Commission for the last year and a half. Being on this Commission has taught him that economic growth and development is not only beneficial for Sweetwater County but for Wyoming as a whole.
Serving as Vice President for Wylie Construction Inc. His duties include everything from: construction management, estimating and scheduling projects, to working in the field side by side with his employees. Cody has experience with budgets and multimillion dollar construction projects. While at the same time offering a source of employment in Sweetwater County.
